Visa fees increases from 1 July 2015
The visa application charges will increase from 1 July 2015 in most visa categories.
Visas with strong international competition will see the visa fees increase by 2.3% in line with inflation. These include:
- Permanent Migration Skilled Stream
- Skilled Graduate
- Temporary Long Stay Business (subclass 457)
- Visitor visas
- Student visas
The following visas will increase by 5% due to strong demand:
- Temporary Resident Short Term Business
- Entertainment Visas
- Working Holiday Visas
- Resident Return
- Retirement Investor
- Contributory Parent
Other family visas will see an increase of 10% and the Significant Investor Visa will increase visa fees by 50%.
A number of visas that have different pricing for onshore and offshore lodgement will be harmonised as well.
